Day 1 — Practice & “Build-Your-Own Soroban”
It was a day to get comfortable with the venue ahead of the main event—easing nerves and finding a steady rhythm.
From there, the workshop became a shared celebration: students supported their teammates, and everyone was delighted to have made a soroban of their own.
Day 2 — Competition & Community
The main event—the morning contest—came first, featuring the Comprehensive, Oral Abacus, Oral Anzan, and Grand Prix events, with everyone performing at their highest level.
With those moments still fresh, the afternoon eased into lunch, Bingo, a World trivia quiz, a simultaneous team challenge (teams scored by total correct answers), and a spirited Jan-Ken-Pon showdown.
From effort to applause. The ceremony highlighted standout performances in Comprehensive, Oral Abacus, Oral Anzan, and Grand Prix—and the determination behind them. Teams were celebrated, certificates were awarded, and the community’s support was warmly acknowledged.
